Cookie Policy

Effective: 27 May 2026Last updated: 27 May 2026

BlnkSpace uses a minimal number of cookies. We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and functional cookies to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not share cookie data with advertising networks.

Section 01

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They allow the website to remember information about your visit — such as that you are logged in — so you don't have to re-enter it every time.

Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remain until they expire or you delete them). They can be "first-party" (set by BlnkSpace) or "third-party" (set by services we use).

Similar technologies such as local storage and session storage work in a similar way and are covered by this policy.

Section 02

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the Service to function. You cannot opt out and continue using BlnkSpace. No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies under applicable cookie laws.

__session / __clerk_db_jwtClerkMaintains your logged-in session. HTTP-only and secure. Without this you would need to sign in on every page.Session or 30 days
__client_uatClerkDetects when your session has been updated (e.g. after sign-in or sign-out), enabling sync across browser tabs.1 year
__stripe_mid / __stripe_sidStripeFraud detection and checkout session validation. Required by Stripe to process payments securely.Session / 1 year

Functional cookies

These improve your experience by remembering preferences. Not strictly required but disabling them may affect your experience.

What we do not use

  • Advertising or targeting cookies
  • Social media tracking pixels
  • Cross-site analytics cookies
  • Fingerprinting technologies

Section 03

Third-party cookies on published pages

BlnkSpace allows users to embed third-party content on their published pages (YouTube videos, Loom recordings, Google Maps etc.). When you visit a BlnkSpace-published page containing embedded content, that third party may set its own cookies on your device.

BlnkSpace has no control over third-party cookies set on user-published pages. If you are a BlnkSpace user who publishes pages with embedded content, you are responsible for informing your visitors about any third-party cookies that may be set.

Section 04

Local storage and session storage

In addition to cookies, BlnkSpace uses browser local storage and session storage to improve performance and preserve your work:

Storage keyPurposeTypeExpiry
blnkspace_open_tabsRemembers which documents you have open in the tab barLocal storagePersistent until cleared
blnkspace_draft_*Temporary autosave buffer for unsaved editsSession storageCleared when tab closes
blnkspace_sidebar_*Sidebar collapsed/expanded state and scroll positionLocal storagePersistent until cleared

Local storage data is not transmitted to our servers — it exists only on your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for blnkspace.com.

Section 05

Managing and controlling cookies

Browser settings

Most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies in your privacy or security settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent BlnkSpace from working — you will not be able to stay logged in.

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Opt-out of specific services

  • Stripe: stripe.com/cookie-settings
  • Clerk: Strictly necessary — cannot be opted out without losing authentication

Do Not Track

BlnkSpace does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals because we do not use tracking cookies regardless of this signal.

Section 06

Consent

BlnkSpace currently uses only strictly necessary and functional cookies. Under most cookie laws (EU ePrivacy Directive, UK PECR), strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. Functional cookies that remember preferences without cross-site tracking are generally exempt.

If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will implement a consent mechanism for users in jurisdictions that require it and update this policy.

Section 07

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new features that use cookies or similar technologies. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
